Roland Duke is a singer, songwriter, guitarist and independent recording artist from Oshawa Canada, just east of Toronto. He has been a part of the local music scene for 15 years, writing, recording and playing live. He regularly performs solo acoustic shows in the greater Toronto area.

Roland’s music is personal and introspective. His acoustic singer/songwriter style is hardened with a rock edge. Live performances are passionate with a powerful vocal delivery and a strong stage presence.

Roland has released two recordings under the band name “Beggars Day”:

“The Easy Way” in 2001, a 9-song acoustic/electric rock CD and

“Rio Bravo Groove” in 2002, an 11-song hard rock CD

A “Roland Duke” CD of new songs is to be recorded and released in 2008
